Adult Community Support Program

CAFE offers distinctive community support programs that are vibrant, flexible and creative, focusing upon the individual needs, wishes, wants, and desires outlined in each Person Centered Plan. CAFE's community support program is ensconced in a 7700 square foot space at the Dana Warp Mill in Westbrook and there are many community support opportunities available for those we support, both inside the space and out in the community. We believe in each person's inherent right to their lifestyle choices and we also believe we can offer boundless opportunities for each person we serve. We are truly convinced each person's program should be as personalized and unique as that person. Options abound at CAFE's community hub. Inside you will find wide open spaces amidst rooms designed to host a myriad of activities and endeavors, all geared to some form of enjoyable learning experience which directly touches upon each person's PCP goals and objectives.

More space for programmatic purposes translates into more flexibility built in to each person's community support program. Moreover, the community itself remains a viable option for all clients involved in the community support program. Flexible and consistent staffing allows for individualized programs to take place in the community as desired and also allows for one:one support to be available for those people whose program necessitates that level of support. Our community support program brings a sense of wonder, a sense of accomplishment, a sense of enrichment, a sense of honor, a sense of viability, and a sense of fellowship into the lives of those people we work with and work for.
