Bangor Savings Bank sponsored CAFE's Special Olympics Team and helped our athletes attend the Special Olympics Summer Games in Orono. Through the donation from Bangor Savings Bank, and others, CAFE was able to send every athlete to Orono free of charge. www.bangor.com

Cumberland County Sheriffs Police Athletics League
The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office helped CAFE's Special Olympics team by sponsoring our athletes and helping to send them to the Maine Summer Games. In addition to their sponsoring of CAFE, the Cumberland County Sheriffs attend the Special Olympics Summer Games to show support for our athletes. CAFE has been working with the Yoga Center for 4 years. They offer us the opportunity to attend an adaptive yoga class out in the community. The instructor, Maria, works well with our individuals and encourages personal development and creativity in class. www.maineyoga.com

Happy Wheels - 331 Warren Avenue, Portland
Happy Wheels offers free skating on Wednesday for individuals with special needs. They open their space to our clients and offer free skates and helmets. We have been partnered with Happy Wheels for 2 years and our clients enjoy the opportunity to get physical exercise, listen to music, and socialize with peers. www.happywheelsskatecenter.com

Center of Movement - 34 School Street, Gorham
Center of Movement offers CAFE, as well as other agencies, an adaptive dance class. This gives our clients the opportunity to access the community, interact with peers from other agencies, participate in physical activity, and express themselves though dance. www.cmdans.org

Martial Arts - 90 Bridge Street, Westbrook
CAFE has been working with Sensei John Pratt, a Martial Arts Instructor in Defensive Tactical Strategies. John has lead an adaptive martial arts program for our clients for over 7 years. The class uses Martial Arts to improve physical and mental wellness and promote an inclusive activity.

Clarion Hotel - 123 Congress Street, Portland
CAFE uses the Clarion Hotel pool to promote community integration, socialization, and physical activity. The staff at the Clarion are friendly and will engage our clients in conversation. They provide a welcoming environment for our clients to swim. www.clarionhotel.com

Trader Joes - 87 Marginal Way, Portland
Trader Joes in Portland donates flowers to CAFE. We take the bouquets apart and our clients rearrange them for delivery out in the community. This helps CAFE give back to our community while promoting personal development and creative expression. www.traderjoes.com

Sunset Ridge - 771 Cumberland Street, Westbrook
Sunset Ridge Golf Course has opened its driving range, putting green, foot-golf course, pool, and other amenities to CAFE. The staff is always welcoming and has allowed CAFE to use the space to host 2 BBQs and a live music concert. www.sunsetridgeme.com

Wayside Community Meals @ Woodfords Church - 202 Woodfords Street, Portland
CAFE has been attending Wayside Community Meals for several years. The volunteers are welcoming and give our clients the opportunity to eat healthy in the community for free. www.waysidemaine.org

Shawnee Peak - 119 Mountain Road, Bridgton
Shawnee Peak has been offering an adaptive ski program which CAFE attends. The volunteer staff work well with our clients and provide safe instruction. Several of our clients have become accomplished skiers and participate in the Winter Special Olympics. www.shawneepeak.com

Hannaford
Our agency accesses many Hannaford stores in the Southern Maine area. Hannaford employees welcome our clients and the staff engage our clients in conversation. We use Hannaford to purchase food for our cooking class as well as our BBQs. In the past Hannaford has donated gift cards to CAFE to help with the cost of hosting large BBQ events. www.hannaford.com

Scarborough Walmart - 500 Gallery Blvd., Scarborough
Last year the Scarborough Walmart donated 40lbs. of turkey, 15 boxes of stuffing, and many cans of cranberry sauce. With this donation our clients prepared a thanksgiving meal for themselves and peers. This opportunity allows our clients to learn cooking skills and then enjoy the fruits of their labor. www.walmart.com
